About Us

WIQ is a new candle company with a rich lineage and a solid pedigree. It is the reincarnation of Q Limited, one of the original aromatherapy candle lines of the early 1990s. In those days, we introduced sculptural candles, wax creations in unique colors, and aromatherapy candles with the invigorating scents of essential oils. Today, our new company is focused on the simple elegance of contemporary living.
WIQ candle designs are inspired by the idealized forms of classical and modern objects. These candles take their inspiration from natural objects and object d’art from all corners of the world.

Each candle is made by hand. After sculpting the shape, the candles are molded with silicone to achieve the best possible detail and definition. We use a house blend of natural vegan waxes sourced in the United States. The wicks are made of non-toxic natural cotton. WIQ’s striking designs elevate the appearance of any setting. And, they are the perfect gift for those “hard to please” individuals.

Hand-crafted WIQ candles in small-batch artisanal production ensure that each is unique. Unlike machine-made candles, no two of our candles are exactly alike. What may look like an imperfection is a beautiful individual imprint, as we see it. To ensure one-of-a-kind designs, each masterpiece sculpture and its mold are made in-house and trademarked.
Today’s new WIQ candles are a product of luxurious craftsmanship and they add pleasing elegance to any space. The color and texture are a classy smooth cream-white. These candles are sure to draw admiration no matter where you choose to place them.

WIQ candles are so beautiful that you may not want to burn them! But relax; most of our candles burn straight down, creating a cylinder in the middle, emitting a soft, lamp-like glow. Once the wax is burnt away, this gives you the option to insert a small refill candle in the cavity and keep the sculpted WIQ candle for a lifetime.

After 20 years of going around the world, experiencing different cultures, and living in some of the most beautiful places on the planet, I AM BACK. I’d like to share with you some of the beautiful objects I have seen and enjoyed around the globe through the language of wax. So now, I have created my latest candle collection--WIQ. Hopefully, it will bring a smile to your face.

My Story

My name is Q and I have been active in the home decorative accessories and candle industry for over three decades. In the early 1990s, I opened and operated a home décor store in Laguna Beach, CA called The Art of Living. While that retail venture became an instant success, I recognized, at a very early stage, the impact of aromatherapy candles, which had just been introduced. I quickly converted the back of my shop into a production studio, created designs, formulated fragrances using essential oils, and started making aromatherapy candles. Thus, my new company, Q Limited, was born and my candle line was launched with the brand name Essence of Nature.

Next came several lines of scented and unscented candles, labeled Match To Wiq, Classiq, Basiq, and many other customs and private label lines for large consumer brands, high-end specialty shops, and department stores in the US and around the world. Partnering with BP we introduce the first line of soy candles.

I AM BACK! Today, with renewed energy and inspiration, and building on the past successes that we experienced with Q Limited, I am introducing my new line of candles. I aim to convey to you what I have seen and learned around the world over the past several years through the language of wax. I recently previewed my new collection in Paris (Le WIQ) and the reception was incredible. Now, I am excited to launch WIQ in the United States and offer these exceptional, masterpiece sculpted candles to connoisseurs such as you.

“Q” has always been part of my identity and my brand. You may remember me from the early days of my Match To Wiq, Classiq, or Basiq. Now with WIQ, I present to you the best “Q” ever……..Enjoy!
